在臺灣土木業界，１個工地主任和１個工地副主任（輪休配合），１個工地主任和１個現場工程師（輪休配合），此２種現場搭配模式的小工地完全不一樣。工地副主任是在做工地主任的工作，亦即執行《營造業法》規定的法定項目；現場工程師是在做現場管理人的工作，涉及到事前查驗工程施工中的項目。
